PUMP OVERHEAT PROTECTION |
| The Overheat Protection Switch automatically shuts off a pump before overheat damage occurs. Overheat Switch is a UL approved heavy duty thermostat, which can be mounted in any position on the pump case of your jet pump or centrifugal pump, to protect against system meltdown. The Overheat Switch can be used on 115V or 230V pumps up to 30 amps maximum. |

The Pump Overheat Switch gives you 24/7 protection against
overheating your pump, due to a bad check valve, lost prime, a bad
pressure switch, or a bad pressure tank, that fails to turn off your
pump. All these can cause the water to heat up in the pump case, and
cause pump meltdown. The fittings can become soft, and loosen,
leading to complete pump system failure. The Overheat Protection Switch prevents this by turning off the pump when the temperature of pump case reaches 120 degrees F, and will automatically reset to allow the pump to come back on when the temperature drops to 110 degrees F. |

The Overheat Protection Switch is easy to install on a pump case, with the twist and bend ribbon of epoxy. Apply the blended epoxy to the top and bottom of the Overheat Protection Switch, pictured above, and attach it to a flat area of the pump case, making sure that the sensor is in contact with the pump case. The epoxy glue will stay in place after about 10 to 20 minutes. Full epoxy cure time is 4 to 5 hours. |
| Wire the 32" wire lead into either the pressure switch, or the back of the motor, breaking wither line 1 or line 2 of your power. | |
