The deluxe torque arrestor is designed to prevent damage to your pump and pump wire caused by start up torque which causes the pump to slap the side of the casing.
It is easy to install while installing your submersible pump in the well. This rubber buffer unit goes around the pump pipe just above the pump, and the bottom clamp is tightened to secure it in place. Slide the top of the torque arrestor down and the unit expands. Expand the torque arrestor to the size of your well casing down where the pump will be set. Tighten the clamp for the top of the unit to hold the expanded area open. Now when your pump starts and the torque causes it to slap around down in the well, the torque arrestor will prevent it from hitting the side of the casing and causing damage to the pump motor or the power wire.
