Air-E-Tainer bladder type pressure tanks are made by Flint & Walling Inc, the people who make our submersible pumps. The bladder type tank completely eliminates the problem of water logging where there is so much water that there isn't enough air to keep it pressurized.

When selecting a pressure tank for your water well system, you will need to know how many gallons per minute your pump produces. You select a tank that gives you at least 1 full minute of run time when the pump comes on. Tanks are rated as to draw down at a specific pressure switch rating. If you are using a 30-50 psi pressure switch, which will give you about a 40 psi mean operating pressure, and you have a pump that produces 10 gallons per minute, you will need a pressure tank large enough that at 30-50 psi pressure rating, it will allow more than 10 gallons per minute draw down, which is usable water out of the tank before the pump comes on. Allowing your pump to run for at least a minute when it comes on, will prolong the life of your pump by eliminating rapid starts that cause problems.
